Rounds 1 and 2 of the ACU British Enduro Sprint headed south to the Dorset hillside of Rogershill near Bere Regis. Even after the persistent rain over the past few weeks, the Fast Eddy track crew set out a test which would turn out to be perfect riding conditions for both days of race action.
As defending champion, Buildbase Honda’s Alex Snow would be looking to make a solid start to his championship defence. A slow start to Saturday saw Snow improve as the day went on ending Day 1 in fifth place.
Day 2 started off better with Snow finding his groove from the previous day. Even with some drizzle making a few of the special tests a little greasy at one stage, the top five pushed hard trying to make every second count. Snow improved to take a hard earned fourth place on Day 2, just three seconds off of the podium. Fourth overall for the weekend gave Snow a good base to work from for the remainder of the series.
“It’s been a fun weekend, so nice to ride on a track that’s been dry that you could attack, seems like a lifetime ago we seen dust. Overall I was happy with my riding and the bike worked faultlessly, but I have a little work to do to be at the front as it stands right now, but I have no doubt we will be there very soon.” - Alex Snow
The next out for Alex will be at Rounds 2&3 of the British Enduro championship in Yorkshire on May 12th and 13th.
